MIDDLE SCHOOL ORIENTATION DAYS 2016-2017

Middle School Orientation days are going through some changes for the 2016-2017 school year. We believe that these changes, based on our observations over the past few years, will serve to greatly enhance the beginning of school experience for students and families. While we are still fine-tuning some details, we want to make you aware of the general plans for these important days.

Here are some of the enhancements you can expect.

  • Each grade has a FULL DAY of orientation rather than the half-day previously scheduled.
  • Students will go through a modified full day schedule to meet teachers, get course information, receive books, etc.
  • Dr. Roddy will give a special “What to expect in _ grade” for parents (the specific times of these events will be published soon).
  • Students will get a full academic technology orientation.
  • Each grade will be led in a grade specific design challenge to help them get their year started off on a positive note.
