Tuition is due in full for the year. Tuition includes all textbooks, permanent and consumable materials and supplies, workbooks, day field trips, yearbook and student accident insurance and must be paid in full by February. There is a 5% discount on tuition for the first sibling in a family and a 10% discount for each sibling thereafter. Tuition may be paid in full or in monthly installments. If the tuition is to be paid in monthly installments, families must pay for Tuition Release Option. Monthly installments can be made through our partnership with FACTS Tuition Management Company. Through FACTS you may designate your payment by ACH or credit card. Payment options include a choice of due dates, either the 5th or the 20th depending on your family's preference. If the tuition is paid in full at the time that the Enrollment Contract is due, the requirement to purchase Tuition Release Option is eliminated. Prepaying families wanting the benefit of Tuition Release Option must purchase it when they prepay. In the event of separation from the school the family would receive a refund for overpayment of any tuition then payable according to the terms of the Contract and the Tuition Release Option. Parents should expect a yearly tuition increase in response to inflation and the changing costs of maintaining an excellent educational program. Tuition Release Option and FACTS Fee - $270 Non-refundableTuition Release Option reimburses the school for its loss of income and entitles the Parents to a release from a percentage of tuition still due in the event of separation or withdrawal from the school. Families who prepay tuition who want the benefits of Tuition Release Option must purchase it. Tuition Release Option covers only tuition and is $270.00 per year per student, which is inclusive of this fee. The school recognizes medical, non-medical, and dismissal withdrawals. Medical withdrawal releases the parent from 100% of further tuition payments then payable if the student has had a valid and documented medical condition, which extends for 30 or more consecutive school days and is being treated by a physician. A non-medical withdrawal due to a documented move that has occurred 100 miles or more from St. Mark's before the first day of classes releases the parent from 100% of further tuition payments then payable. All other withdrawals release the parent from 70% of further tuition payments then payable before July 1, 50% between July 1 but before the first day of classes for the school year, or 25% on or after the first day of classes of the school year, but before December 1. Any tuition due prior to withdrawal is not subject to release. Non-voluntary separation from school is considered a non-medical withdrawal. All previously paid tuition is nonrefundable. For those who choose to make installments, FACTS Tuition Management must be used to assist in tuition management. There is a nominal charge of $45.00 per year, which is included in the Tuition Release Option and FACTS Fee. Returned ChecksChecks returned to the school due for any reason will require re-issuance and incur a $30 charge. Required UniformsUniforms are required for students enrolled in Preschool 3's through 8th grade and must be purchased through Parker School Uniforms. The nearest location is 3817 Bellaire Blvd, (713) 661-6110, or you can purchase uniforms on the web at www.parkersu.com (Web ID code: HO071207). All children must have a regular uniform and a dress uniform. Dress uniforms are worn weekly on chapel day and for specified field trips and school pictures. FundraisingSt. Mark's School depends on the Annual Fund Campaign to meet its operating budget. Because St. Mark's is designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt educational organization, a generous commitment by parents to our Annual Fund gives parents tax advantages for their donation to the school and insures ongoing educational excellence for our children. Parents with questions about making a donation to fundraising events or to the school's Annual Fund should contact the Director of Development, Susan Munson. |
