About

St. Mark’s Episcopal School is a private co-educational school in Houston for students 18 months old through 8th grade. We are a community engaged and purposefully small, creating an environment where every child is known and celebrated. Throughout our community, we encourage our students, faculty, and staff to embrace curiosity and a passion for discovery.

With enrollment just under 500 students, we seek to live into our mission every day. We embrace our Episcopal identity, emphasizing the tradition of inclusion and open inquiry, while recognizing the religious pluralism of this country and welcoming students of all creeds. With careful purpose, we have established ideals and values that guide our students to bright and rewarding futures. St. Mark’s Episcopal School is a parish day school whose buildings and grounds are owned by St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Founded in 1960, St. Mark's is a beloved part of the West University, Southside, and Bellaire neighborhoods of Houston.

The St. Mark's Mission
