Birthday yard signs available to rent for St. Mark’s students and family members

Chairpersons (2):

• Organize logistics for birthday sign installation and pick up
• Recruit and communicate logistics with volunteers

Committee:

• Execute the installation and pick up of birthday yard signs in local area neighborhoods

Chairpersons (2):

• Under the direction of the librarians, help to organize the decoration, logistics, and volunteers for the annual Book Fair
• Assist in organizing special events, such as author visits and Family Night at the Book Fair
• Volunteer in the library during classroom visits

Committee:

• Volunteer in the library during classroom visits, shelving books
• Help the librarians with the book return cart in the morning
• Volunteer during the Book Fair

A day in which Grandparents and Friends are invited to share a morning classroom visit and chapel service with students. The event will be held in November.

Chairpersons (2):

• Plan and organize the day, including chapel service, reception, food, art display, invitation and logistics
• Work closely with school administration

• Assist chairperson in planning and volunteering day of event

Volunteers meet each Wednesday morning at the school to help teachers with cutting, gluing, coloring, and laminating projects.

• Send weekly email reminder to teachers and committee
• Attend Wednesday morning sessions

• Attend Wednesday morning sessions (for approximately one hour after drop off) to assist teachers with projects

A collection of Loyalty Programs and Shopping Events that provide supplemental funding to the Parent Guild.

Chairperson (1):

• Organize and promote participation in various online and in-person loyalty programs, especially during busy shopping seasons.  Loyalty programs include Box Tops, Randall’s Good Neighbor, Amazon Smile, and other local business. 
• Assess opportunities to increase quantity of loyalty programs.
• Work with local vendors to host several Shopping Events per year.    

This committee cares for the St. Mark’s community as needs arrive. This includes celebrating joyous events such as welcoming new babies or assisting families who are facing difficult seasons.

Chairperson (1):

• Work with family to gain permission to offer assistance, whether it be creating a meal sign-up or help providing transportation.
• Gathering volunteers to assist.

An annual fall fair (amusements, food, bouncers) for St. Mark’s families in October.  This is the Parent Guild’s primary fundraiser of the school year.

• Responsible for attending planning meetings and assisting sub-committee chairperson as needed

A monthly family dinner event at a local restaurant, in which a portion of the proceeds are donated to our school.

Chairperson (1):

• Contact neighborhood restaurants during the summer to schedule monthly restaurant nights
• Advertise restaurant nights through school communication avenues
• Follow up with restaurants for payment following event

Support school-wide Spirit Week, which is organized by the athletics department. 

Chairperson (1): 

• Assist Athletics Department with snacks, events, or scoreboards
• Recruit volunteers

The Spiritwear Store sells St. Mark’s branded clothing and accessories online.

Chairpersons (2):

• Select, order, and promote items for the online Spiritwear Store
• Continually assess opportunities for St. Mark’s branded items
• Organize volunteers to help with distributing Spiritwear

A group that organizes, prices and sells used uniforms at annual sales

Chairpersons (2):

• Organize and coordinate summer sales, including recruiting volunteers
• Manage donation sorting process in Parent Guild closet at least once monthly
• Host pop-up sales throughout the year
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds

A group that recognizes and provides treats and experiences for faculty and staff and throughout the year.

Chairpersons (2):

• Coordinate all staff birthday and teacher appreciation efforts
• Plan teacher appreciation treats and in-service day meals
• Organize teacher appreciation week in May, which includes lunches and raffles

Annual Fund Class Representatives contact fellow class parents to encourage Annual Fund participation.

Parents volunteering in this area would assist the music, theatre, and visual art areas of the school, and work at the direction of these teachers. Volunteers might be asked to help with behind the scenes work for school musicals, hanging artwork or creating gallery spaces on campus, as well as assistance choral concerts, or music classroom needs. Volunteers can expect to work throughout the year for a few hours a week, and more during peak times.

A yearly event, held in the spring, to celebrate St. Mark’s Episcopal School. Typically includes a silent auction.

Committee:

• Assist Chairperson as needed with event logistics, decorations, silent auction organization
• Work closely with school administration

Parent representatives for each class which support Teachers, Administration and Parent Guild through communication and volunteer coordination

Chairperson:

• Coordinate communications and volunteer requests with Administration, Parent Guild officers and Room Parents

Committee:

• Under direction of chairperson, provide communications from Administration and Parent Guild to classroom parents

Assist teachers with classroom-specific communication and volunteer needs.
