Summer camp is a really special time for our students. They get a chance to relax, do some exploring, investigating, and trying something new. For parents, it’s a time to know your children are safe and having a great time seeing friends and teachers they love. Registration for Summer at St. Mark’s typically opens in February of each year. What Will the Summer at St. Mark's Day Camp Be Like?

The Summer at St. Mark’s Day Camp will include the summer staples kids love so much: fun activities taught by St. Mark’s teachers such as science, art, sports, drama, thematic play, tinkerlab, and more. Camps are in ‘cabins’ based on their grade level, which they remain with throughout the week. We do honor one friend request which you can place during your registration. We’ve also themed each week to give our creativity a focus.

Summer at St. Mark’s enrolls several of our favorite school teachers in assisting with camp. One of the biggest pieces of feedback we get at the end of each summer is how much our students enjoy seeing their teachers over the summer. The teachers either continue doing what they love during the school year or try something totally new for the summer. Either way, we’re excited to have them as part of our summer team. We’ll also have many of our after school staff back as camp counselors. Almost all of our camp counselors are college students obtaining teaching degrees, and we’re glad our campers will know many of them from the school year, too.

What Does Camp Look Like for Young Students?

Everyone is a lion during Summer at St. Mark's! We have two offerings for families of younger children, based on the age of the camper.

Our Cub Camp is geared toward our littlest campers, ages 18 months through 2. Students already enrolled in our 18-month to 2-year-old program called the ‘Explorers and Seekers’ are able to enroll in our weeks offered during the summer. This program is offered in both half day and full day options, and the full day option includes a nap time.

Cub Camp (18-month to 2-year-olds) is also extended a few extra weeks beyond the Day Camp. Cub Camp session dates from 2023 were:

Session One: June 5 – June 9
Session Two: June 12 – June 16
Session Three: June 19 – June 23
Session Four: June 26 – June 30
*There is no camp the week of July 4th for any ages
Session Five: July 10 – July 14
Session Six: July 17 – July 21
**Session Seven: July 24 – July 28
**Session Eight: July 31 – August 4

** These dates were only available to our 18 months through 2-year-old campers and are not available to our 3-year-old through 8th grade campers.

Any campers aged 3-years-old by the start of camp (June 5) are eligible to enroll in Summer at St. Mark’s. This camp is offered in both half and full day options, and the full day option includes a nap time. The camp requires that campers are potty trained so they can participate in all the fun activities. The camp includes exploring and playing outdoors, mixing up fun snacks, crafting and more!

What is offered for Middle School students?

This summer St. Mark’s hosted the third year of our counselor-in-training program for middle school students hoping to gain leadership skills while having fun. Throughout the week, students participated in a CPR and First Aid training, learned interview skills, team building, resume writing, service learning and behind-the-scenes organizational experience. Students may choose between half day or full day options and will be supervised at all times while on campus

Does my student have to attend St. Mark's to come to camp?

Summer at St. Mark’s is open to not only St. Mark’s students, but also children who are not current students, ages 3 through 8th Grade. By opening our summer camps to the surrounding area, we give our students the opportunity to make new friends during the summer in the comfort and convenience of their school community. Our Explorers / Seekers camp is only open to students currently enrolled at St. Mark’s.

What about Lunch?

St. Mark’s is now offering the option to add on a lunch through the camp. Your child can choose whether to bring a packed lunch from home or participate in the summer lunch program.

Summer Lunch Menu:

Mondays: Hamburger and fries
Tuesdays: Tacos, rice and beans
Wednesdays: Hot dogs and macaroni and cheese
Thursdays: Build your own nachos
Fridays: Pepperoni and cheese pizza
Offered daily: Grilled cheese, fruit cups and cookie

2023 Camp lunch pricing: $40/week

What are the Deadlines for Registration and Cancellations?

Registration will remain open until capacities are met, and waitlists will be available. The deadline to cancel will be May 1 for a full refund. Cancellations after May 1 will include a $50 cancellation fee. After May 15 there will be no refunds given. Should the school determine Summer at St. Mark’s must be canceled, full refunds will be given with the suspended cancellation fee.
